SR86 – Valencia to Kinney Road, Tucson

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT)  recently awarded a contract for construction of 7-miles of roadway south and west of Tucson along State Route (SR) 86. The $41M dollar project involves a variety of design and construction challenges where Del Sol Group worked with the engineers to complete Section 404 permitting for over 6-acres of impacts to Waters of the U.S., preparation of erosion control plans, landscape plans, Biological Evaluation; and native plant inventory.  Del Sol Group also completed surveys for the endangered Pima Pineapple Cactus located within portions of the road right-of-way.  This project, started in 2011 is a great achievement for the Del Sol Group and we’re proud to have been on the design team!
